Early SS Motorcycle License Plate

Original early-period German SS motorcycle license plate, registration number SS-28740.

The plate retains much of its original white finish with black registration numbers. It also bears a clearly visible original red inspection/registration stamp with the German eagle and the inscription “Der Reichsführer …” around the upper part of the stamp.

The plate has the characteristic curved shape intended for mounting on a motorcycle mudguard. It remains in untouched, unrestored condition with substantial age-related surface corrosion, wear and paint loss. Despite its condition, the registration number and a considerable part of the original red stamp remain clearly visible.

An interesting and increasingly difficult-to-find example of early SS motor vehicle equipment.
