Lewis Aircraft Machine Gun 97-Round Drum Magazine with Leather Pouch

Large-capacity 97-round drum magazine for the Lewis aircraft machine gun, dating from the WW1 period. This type of magazine was developed for aviation use and differs from the standard 47-round infantry version.

The magazine shows surface rust, patina, scratches and signs of age and use. The winding handle is present.

Comes with a black leather carrying pouch showing considerable wear, surface cracking, creases and scuffs. The carrying strap fittings and leather fastening strap are present.
